Rachel

Rachel has a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a writer and filmmaker. She has taught writing and composition as well as various subjects in history and religion at both UCSB and CUNY.

Rachel got her start tutoring while in graduate school and has tutored Verbal SAT and ACT for over ten years. She also has extensive experience teaching students reading comprehension skills and also supporting them with writing the college essay.

Rachel offers Writing Support, College Essay Writing, AP US History, AP Lang, and SAT/ACT Verbal Test Prep services.

 
 

Emma

Emma has a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and has completed training in teaching gifted and talented children. She has tutored privately in mathematics for grades 4-11 as well as test prep for ACT, SAT, and GMAT. She has spent seven years running "pull-out" math groups at the elementary level. She also provides expert guidance to students in grades 8-10 through the AVID program in her local school district, mentoring students in a number of subjects.

Emma offers tutoring services in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. In addition she offers test prep services for both Math and Verbal portions of the SAT and ACT.

Stephanie

Stephanie has an undergraduate degree in English from Shepherd University and has enjoyed a robust career as a professional actor in commercial voiceover. Her own personal essays have been performed live in Listen to Your Mother in Northern NJ. She has worked as a consultant for comedy writers, playwrights and screen writers, and served as a beta reader for novels. Stephanie has a knack for helping to unlock a writer’s authentic voice and keen insight on how to refine a piece for maximum impact.

Stephanie offers College Application and Application Submission package services, College Essay Writing as well as tutoring in ELA.

 
 

Grace Ginsburg

Grace graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Urban Studies and minored in History and English.

She began tutoring her freshman year of college, inspired to make the college admissions process less stressful and more manageable for younger students.

While SAT & ACT prep is certainly her specialty, she has tutored dozens of students of all ages in all kinds of subjects, including math, Spanish, essay writing, and reading comprehension.

 
 

Merry

Meredith (who goes by "Merry") graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in business management. She was a four year member and captain of the varsity soccer team there, reaching the national championships during the Fall 2022 season.

Merry now works as a Vehicle Systems Engineer in a rotational program at one of the big three automakers in Detroit, Michigan. 

A graduate of Columbia High School, she has tutored extensively in subjects, including Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (regular and AP), and SAT preparation. Although her favorite subject to tutor is anything math, she has several years of experience teaching all subjects. 

 
 

Grace Bratter

Grace graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a minor in Polymers Science and Engineering. She was involved in the professional engineering fraternity during her time at CWRU. Grace was also a player and student coach for the varsity women’s soccer team all four years.

Grace now works as a Product Development Engineer in the filtration industry in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Working at CTK continues to bring enjoyment to Grace.

Grace offers SAT and ACT Test Prep for Math, as well as tutoring in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus and Executive Functioning services.

 
 

Kate

Kate is a 3rd-year student at the University of Virginia, majoring in Neuroscience on a research-oriented track. She hopes to pursue a career in neuropsychiatry and research, and she greatly enjoys working with students who are passionate about science and math!

Kate offers SAT/ACT test prep for Math as well as tutoring in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, AP US History and Executive Functioning support services.

Jordan Klein

Jordan is an Honors Student in the School of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. He intends to major in Economics while completing a minor in Statistics.

Jordan began tutoring in 2021 and has experience at the middle and high school levels. Jordan offers tutoring in the following subjects:
